Morgellons Symptoms

Posted on December 11, 2011, by , under Morgellons Disease.

Morgellons Symptoms are quite similar across most of the patients. Most Morgellons sufferers are bound to complain about a constant feeling of something crawling on the skin. These people are prone to scratching their skin repeatedly in an uncontrolled manner. Some patients might start having delusional thoughts that some sort of organism is crawling under their skin. The scratching tends to worsen the appearance of the skin, making it look as if some sort of rash has spread on the body. Some patients have described the presence of certain kind of fibers in their skin. However, these claims have not been established to the extent of being looked upon as established Morgellons Symptoms. Common symptoms of Morgellons Disease include:

  • Rashes on the body that look like sores
  • Feeling of biting or pin pricking on skin
  • Complaints of extreme fatigue without a defined cause or pathology
  • Weakness in memory and cognitive problems
  • Behavioral problems such as extreme irritation
  • Paint in joints
  • Some degree of vision problems

Symptoms of Morgellons Disease are even more confusing since they are quite similar to other conditions like Lyme disease which itself is a rather hard-to-diagnose and treat condition. Other conditions that put forth similarities to Morgellons Symptoms include schizophrenia, liver disease, kidney problems and drug abuse, apart from a history of delusional parasitosis.
